~ a place I call my own…

Christmas is just around the corner and if you want to dress up for the season, why not go all the way, right? After all, a celebration like this only comes once a year so go dress up to the nines! ;) And to help you accessorize, I suggest you check out the wide selection of fabulous Holiday frames at Zenni Optical. They are so stylish and yet so affordable so no need to worry about overspending. With prices ranging from $9.95 to $39.95, you can never go wrong! Here… take a look at my top pick:

It is a medium oval, stainless steel, fashion half-rim frame with design at corners, yours for only $23.95! And you even have the option to add a clip on polarized 80% sunshade for only $3.95 each. But that’s not all, whether you order 1 or 5 pairs of eyeglasses all at the same time, the shipping and handling charge remains at $4.95! It’s a steal, I tell ya! And what’s so great about their Holiday frames is that you can still wear them even after Christmas. So no need to put them away along with your Christmas tree and decors because they never go out of style and you can wear them year-round.

{Weekend Round Up #7}

Our weekend was busy and left me so exhausted but never the less it was still fun.

NOVEMBER 12 (Wednesday)
- Went to DMV to submit hubby’s road test result.

- After DMV, we went to West Valley to attend a house warming party. I was supposed to cook my infamous Pork Giniling (as requested) but changed my mind on the last minute and ended up bringing Humba. But they still liked it though.

Anyway, here are some pictures I took that day. The first one was taken at DMV’s parking lot after hubby got his temporary driver’s license and the second photo was at our friend’s house. Hubby was playing with the lil girls. ;)

What about me? Well, I was busy watching “Desperadas” Hehe… I just paused the movie to take a few snaps.

NOVEMBER 13 (Thursday)
- Drove around town and hopped from one thrift store to another but we didn’t find anything interesting there so we left empty-handed.

- Canceled our dinner date! It was our 8th year anniversary as lovers that day but my back was killing me so we just went home and watched “A Very Special Love” via youtube while munching on Chippy. How romantic! Hehe! Babawi na lang daw kami sa 3rd wedding anniversary namin on the 25th. xoxo

NOVEMBER 14 (Friday)
- Went to Sugar House and shopped. These are my fave loots:

I bought these cute onesies for lil munchkin which says “my dad is my no. 1 hero (forever)” and “i love hugs” at Toys ‘R Us and I also got this satin ruby slippers for moi.

That’s it! Until next time! ;)

Mr. Jack of All Trades

My husband is a jack of all trades. Apart from being a registered nurse, he is also into website building and software programming. As a matter of fact, he is working on a new project right now that has to do with a CNA school for his co-nurse at work. He is halfway done with the layout and design and now he is asking me if I know a reliable and affordable web host so he can recommend one to his client. Well, I told him to check out Web Hosting Geeks - my most TRUSTED resource for reviews and ratings of all the top website hosting providers out there. They base their rankings not only on the affordability of the service but as well as on the host reliability, uptime, key features, bonus features, customer support, past and current user feedback, user-friendliness and hosting awards. And speaking of user feedback, whether it is good or bad, they still make it available for the readers to peruse. Now that’s what you call unbiased review! Moreover, they also offer helpful articles so the readers will gain more understanding about web hosting such as how to choose the best web hosting service, what are the options, etc. But of course, I didn’t bore the husband with my endless reasons why I trust Web Hosting Geeks. I allowed him to explore the website to see for himself what I am talking about. ;)

Questions of the Week 40

Get your Q’s HERE! :)

1. What measures have you taken to cut back expenses?
~ Well right now, I am tying my best to stay away from shopping malls and from eBay.

2. Have you ever bought a book and used the receipt as a bookmark?
~ Yup! I’m such a huge Harry Potter fan so the moment I get hold of the latest release, I read it right away. Hehe!

3. Can you recall any traumatic, embarrassing or troubling events as a child that you still remember vividly? If so, care to share?
~ I was such an accident-prone kid so I had a lot of traumatic experiences and up until now I still find it hard to talk about what had happened. So let’s just skip all the trauma and proceed to the embarrassing ones, okay? Hehe! When I was in kindergarten I pooped on my undies while we were practicing our graduation march. Hay! What a way to end the year! I ended up going home wearing a boy’s uniform.

4. What is the strangest question you have ever been asked at a job interview?
~ It’s not a question really… I was just asked to sell the “most ordinary” ball pen impromptu.

5. Does it make you uncomfortable if a woman is breastfeeding her baby in public?
~ Sometimes. There are moms kasi who breastfeed in the most public places like inside the jeepney and they don’t even bother to cover up. Taz minsan nakakatulog na yong baby and they are not even aware that their nips are exposed na. Hehe!

6. Do you know anyone who has an unpredictable temper? Who?
~ Yes. I had this classmate before and she was the most unpredictable person I’ve ever known.

7. What did you have to learn “the hard way”?
~ Trusting other people.

8. Have you ever been dishonest about the origin of a bruise?
~ Yup. Me and my friends got into a bus accident and I had to lie about my bruises because I didn’t ask for my parents’ permission to go out of town. Tagam! I told them the truth two years after and my sister was like “huwaaat?!!”…

9. Have you ever gotten any kind of envelope in the mail without the senders return address? Did you found out who it was from?
~ No.

10. It’s our 40th QOTW. I am giving away something. Can you tell me why should I give it to you? It’s just a little something to spice up this little Meme!
~ Hmmn… I just need something to lift my spirits up. I’m so stressed out. (di lang halata)

Have fun and enjoy! Don’t forget to comment to the person above you or to other participants.

Reddish…

Way to Go Sister!

I was browsing my baby sister’s Friendster account awhile ago and what she posted on her shout box really made me smile. She said…

~ it is better to be single yet inspired, than to be in a relationship yet confused ~

I guess she’s not ready. Namana nya talaga pagka “manang” ng ate namin. LOL! She’s taking up BS Pharmacy right now at SPC and she’s still on her freshman year. Hahaha!
