Just got off the phone! My friend needs my “artistic” opinion so she’s dropping by here later so we can go together at the furniture store in Murray. She’s buying a new set of rustic furniture for her newly renovated home but she wants me to see it first before making the purchase. She said she trusts my taste. Well, I’m really flattered. I wasn’t even aware that I have a taste for nice furniture. LOL! Oh well, I better do a good job then. ![]()

Family Benefits from the Internet
Posted on Jun 14, 2010 under Shopping, Tips and Tricks | No CommentSociologists say that all the internet information, social websites, online banking, and internet shopping are eliminating our actual contact with other human beings. It would be interesting to take a poll and see if internet users agree.
In our busy days, the internet can be such a lifesaver! If you do your shopping and banking online, you can save time that can be spent doing things with friends and family. You can exchange emails with your children’s teachers and be more involved with their school progress than ever before. You can save money on purchases—stretch a dollar to save money for the important things in life, or just for the fun activities.
The social utilities help people connect and make arrangements in a way never before possible. High school friends reconnect 30 years later. Family reunions are planned. Vacations are arranged—hotel, transportation, cruises, etc. People wish you a happy birthday that may not have even known when your birthday was before. People are sharing pictures of ancestors, children, activities, and more. Some people say it is all superficial contact; others say they are in better contact with their families than ever before.
Another great benefit of internet use is that you can read reviews before you sign up for social websites, take that cruise, buy a car, eat out, or place an order. It’s not just asking friends now; you can get opinions from dozens of people to make an informed decision. And you can get coupon codes that save you money on almost anything. Anytime you want to shop online, if you can take a little time you can find great deals. If you can enhance those great deals with coupons, you are doing even better! Save time and money so you can spend them on the more important things like friends and family.
It is unbelievable when one runs into a fine piece of jewelry or fine wristwatch that has some sort of defect! But, alas, it does happen from time to time. One just has to search through episodes of “The Antiques Roadshow” to see this happen. Or, one could observe the Chopard 18K Gold, Diamond and Emerald Genève Casmir watch that was sold this year for $ 5,473. Sad but true, the auctioneer stated that this watch’s case was “structurally defective”. It was Christie’s lot # 1372 – Chopard’s number 43. So our title seems to be a bit of a misnomer. But, the ordinary watch fan or collector of Chopard replica watches would be thrilled to receive one of these so-called “defective watches”!
Also true, any one of them would be thrilled to receive a high quality good copy of this or other watches by the same maker. Unfortunately, it seems safe to say that those who love this style will not find an exact replica of such a fine piece of jewelry. Hopefully they and their ladies will settle for something a little less uncommon. Just such a collection of replicas can be found for the rhombophile (“lover of heart shapes”). The copy makers have succeeded in emulating the somewhat unique ability of Chopard to make watch designs that are extraordinary. For example, take the HR replica “Happy Diamonds Heart” collection.
Several of these models have the famous “floating diamonds” flying around the inside of the watch face – detached from all workings. Amazingly, some of these are supplied as heart shaped clusters. In one particularly extreme example, the dancing gems spell out the word “LOVE”. Other editions are simple, but still inspired in that the case is shaped like an exaggerated heart. No lover of fine watches will notice any defects in these Chopard replica watches.
Jewelry can be a captivating final touch to an ensemble that just looks drab by itself. If you add the right little trinkets or bobbles you can make the outfit remarkable. If you love adorning yourself with lots of jewels but don’t know that much about the latest designers, then why not try John Hardy.
John Hardy is a very distinguished jewelry designer whose eye for fashion is stunning. He used pieces in his jewelry that most other designers over look. All of his lovely pieces are handcrafted to perfection with materials such as bamboo; gold and silver just to name a few.
John Hardy’s Bulan collection is created with an array of splendid color and gives you that touch of bollywood style like none other. This collection is crafted using the finest gold and silver with wonderful splashes of color using such jewels as blue topaz.
The next delightfully exquisite collection is dedicated to babies and small children. John Hardy has created bracelets with the Chinese zodiac symbols just perfect for your little one to show off their birth sign. There are gorgeously handcrafted boxes designed to encase your child first lost tooth. It is simply amazing, the detail that has gone into such a darling tiny box.
Within the John Hardy collection for children you will also find and assortment of beautifully made silver rattles, as well as sterling silver babies first eating utensils. These items can make wonderful baby shower gifts.
Another part of the John Hardy collection is made especially for men. This collection contains very masculine, strong bold pieces that any man would be proud to own. Every single bracelet, ring or necklace is handcrafted at a studio in Bali from beautiful silver and gold.
So if you are wondering about what jewelry designer to choose, then why not take a peak at the John Hardy collection. His style of jewelry is a cut above the rest.
Hubby is planning to buy a plasma TV soon and as a supportive wife, I already started shopping for plasma mounts. Of course, I am more excited than he is. I’m a work-at-home mom so I get to watch more TV. Hehe! I just hope the TFC box we ordered will be here soon! I can’t wait to watch and catch up with my fave Filipino TV shows.
Anyway, the reason hubby picked plasma TV over LCD TV is because according to reviews, plasma technology has the better picture quality in normal to low room lighting conditions especially for night time viewing — which is by the way, hubby’s fave time to watch his rented movies!

This is the my very first purchase at the Coach Factory store. It’s not the latest style but I love it still! I like the huge space because it can double as Jaden’s diaper bag. And of course, I love the color! But what I love most about this bag is because I didn’t spend a single penny to own it. I was supposed to use my own money but my debit card got rejected at the cash register so hubby ended up paying for it. LOL! What’s even funnier is that my card worked again when I went to other stores. Nagtaka tuloy si hubby. Kala nya may ginawa akong milagro. LOL!

Last week, me and the boys, together with our friends went to Park City to do some shopping at the Factory Outlet. And the very first store we went into is the Coach Factory. I’ve been to the Outlet many times already but that was my first time to visit the store because hubby would “always” park away from that area. I guess he knew that once I see the bags in there, I wouldn’t have the power to resist the tempation. LOL!
to my post HERE… is NO. I didn’t go out with my girlfriends. I told them how I felt about leaving my little munchkin and they understood. Some of them have kids too and they know exactly why I am feeling that way. And besides, it snowed that day so I had the perfect excuse. Hehe! But just like Mommy Yen said, I needed to go out once in awhile to unwind so I told them I’ll definitely go out with them for some pampering at the spa next month. They had it scheduled on hubby’s day off so I can go with them. *sniff* Kaka-touch talaga…
But hubby has other plans. He drove me to ShopKo last Thursday for a little dose of shopping. He and the lil boy just stayed in the car while I shopped as fast as I could. LOL! In less than 1 hour (a record breaker!) I managed to grab a few stuff for me - shoes, slippers, makeup and jewelry… and a couple of clothes for Jaden. No clothes for me though because it will take time to fit them and I still need to shed off my pregnancy weight so I can fit into those cute tops and jeans I saw at the catalogue. (dang! i need those diet pills fast! lol! kidding!)
Anyways, I will be posting my loot at my shopping blog tomorrow so watch out for it.
For now, I have to crawl back to bed and get as much sleep as I could before the lil boy wakes up and asks for milk again. Adios!
